In this Squad Battles tips guide, Ultimate Team's offline mode FIFA 22 coins, we're going to talk about some quick and useful tips and tricks to make sure you get as many points as possible each week in the mode for the best rewards possible.
Squad Battles is a FUT mode where you can face off against AI-controlled FUT Community squads to earn Showdown Points, climb the leaderboards and earn rewards.
Matches are divided into competition of the week and other matches. Any matches you play after the 40 matches of the weekly competition do not count towards your score for the week, but you will still be able to earn normal Match Coins and progress towards the Objectives.
In FUT 22, Squad Battles matches can be played cooperatively. Once you invite a player using the Friends List found in the lower right corner of the FUT Main Menu and they accept, you can choose to play Squad Battles in the Co-op Lobby.
Play featured games
This one is pretty self explanatory. Each week, you'll be able to play against that week's starting XI Team of the Week and play with a random 'Featured Team', often made up of a football player or other celebrity.
While these teams almost always have a very high overall rating, they are not impossible. The Team of the Week team will no doubt have terrible chemistry, so the team will not perform very well in Squad Battles as chemistry affects how well AI teams play in the mode.
The 'Team Spotlight' tends to have better chemistry, but use your full strength and you can get a result.
Whether you win or lose, these two special teams at the top of the Squad Battles screen will award you a ton of points just for playing against them. Even more than you'll get for beating a regular Squad Battles team 5-0 on some difficulties.
Play them every week to make the most of your weekly Squad Battles rewards.
Find the right difficulty to maximize points
As you are playing against the AI in Squad Battles, you will need to set the difficulty before each match. The difficulty affects the team's attack intelligence, reaction speed, marking and space. The overall 'difficulty' comes from the chemistry of the team you are playing against, but increasing the difficulty will make the opposing team smarter, quicker to react and better at scoring and finding space.
The higher the difficulty, the more points you will also earn simply for completing the game. This means that sometimes it's better to play a match on Ultimate difficulty and win 1-0 than it is to play Legendary and win 5-0.
In fact, you'll earn more points playing and winning 1-0 in Ultimate than a 5-0 rout of Legendary will earn you.
That said, you want to find a difficulty where you can at least win the match. Losing games will result in you earning far fewer points than the 'Predicted Points' indicated on the difficulty selection screen.
If you're new to Squad Battles, take the time to play through a variety of difficulties and decide which one you're winning at, but you'll still find that there's some challenge in doing so. This will be the difficulty setting to stick to in Squad Battles to help you get the best rewards possible.
5 goals and then possession
Making the most of each game is important in Squad Battles. You only have 40 games to earn as many points as possible for that week's rewards and after that, you'll be playing just for fun.
One of the best ways to increase the amount of points earned per Squad Battles match is to score goals. Each goal scored gives you 40 points, but once you reach 5 goals and earn 200 points this way, you won't earn more no matter how many goals you score.
Scoring five goals should be the main objective with every goal, but after that you'll want to simply sit back and beef up your possession stats. Pull skill moves and really show what you're capable of. All of this will contribute to your 'Skill Bonus' score, which could end up being more than what you get for the outcome of the match itself.
Avoid giving in at all costs
While scoring goals gives you easy points in Squad Battles in FIFA 22, conceding goals is a surefire way to quickly lose points in a match. The more goals you concede, the greater the effect on the 'Match Score' you earn at the end of the match.
If you get an early lead, start focusing on making sure your defensive plays are solid. Don't make stupid mistakes that give the opponent hand possession, and even using the different 'Playing Styles' by pressing left and right on the d-pad to play more defensively if your goal is really under threat.
Know your AI exploits
Once you've got the difficulty setting right and you're really in the groove of beating Squad Battles results, make sure you make the most of the AI exploits to try and squeeze some extra points out of each match. It can help him score that extra goal or stop him from conceding one. There are two here that we think are particularly useful.
Let's start with the offensive exploit. When attacking, the AI always falls into a false shot, especially the false shot stop. If you can do one of these when you're within shooting distance of the goal, do it. This will give you the space you need to take a shot at the goal, which can be difficult to achieve in FIFA 22 with blocks being much more impactful on gameplay.
When you're on the defensive, remember that the AI will go for an attacking tactic when you're losing in the second half. This means that you will need to defend better, but it also means that your opponent will be much easier to counter. Switch your team's playstyle to Defensive, soak up all that pressure and use fast wingers to counter and score quickly.

Em Squad Battles, the Showdown Points you earn during the week determine your Rank in the weekly competition. Each Rank only allows a certain percentage of the players who compete in Squad Battles during the current weekly competition.
When does the Squad Battles awards come out?
the awards Squad Battles are delivered every Monday at midnight (UTC time). You do not need to redeem them in the week they were assigned to you, as they do not expire.
