More about Apex Legends
Apex Legends is a free-to-play electronic game of the genre battle royale developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. Set in the same universe as the Titanfall series, the game was revealed and released in a surprise announcement on February 4, 2019 for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Apex Legends differentiates itself from other battle royale games by borrowing concepts from the hero. shooter, with each player's Legend having skills and unique abilities, and mostly requiring players to work in squads of three, with the ability to reanimate downed squad mates.
While Respawn worked on efforts for a sequel to the Titanfall series, the success of Fortnite Battle Royale led them to rework the elements of Titanfall into a battle royale genre, maintaining their own concept in that genre. Respawn asked Electronic Arts to avoid any preliminary marketing before the game's release, releasing it the same day it was announced, to prevent players from developing preconceived notions about the title. A week after its release, Apex Legends earned over 25 million downloads and over 2 million simultaneous players, and is considered a strong competitor for Fortnite's current dominance in the video game industry.
