Battlefield 2042 will ban cheaters permanently

Battlefield 2042 is shipping with a robust set of anti-cheat reporting and tools and bans will be immediate

This time DICE is not kidding and Battlefield 2042 will banish cheaters mercilessly. DICE seems to be taking the story of cheats being sold before of the Battlefield 2042 release and cheating that happened in Beta. And that's why, today, 13/10, the developer released a series of initiatives aimed at keeping the gaming community clean, as well as several important ways to fight cheaters and abusers.

For starters, Battlefield 2042 will feature the popular Easy-Anti Cheat (EAC) service to detect and ban cheaters. EAC is being featured in Apex Legends and many other EA online games, and for starters, Easy-Anti Cheat will also be active during the next beta (something cheaters have said has several flaws).

DICE has also confirmed that it will have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to cheating, meaning cheaters will be banned permanently and immediately, without warning or suspension. Since Battlefield 2042 allows crossplay, getting banned from one platform means you won't be able to play on any other.

The ban hammer will land on cheaters without warning and will cause the cheater to be disconnected from the game immediately. Banned players can later appeal their punishments using EA Help Support. The developer also has the tools to ban IP's and hardware when necessary, which should deter offenders from trying to create new accounts.

The game will even let you know when it receives a cheat report from you and let you know what actions will be taken against cheaters. DICE said the anti-cheat will continue to work in the game after launch, adding that there will be a dedicated team to investigate reports and issue bans.

By the way, Battlefield 2042 will ship with a well-featured reporting system, allowing all players to report a wide range of disturbing and undesirable behavior directly from the game. You can report players for cheating/exploits, offensive voice/text chat, inappropriate names, harassment and even “game sabotage”.

Battlefield 2042 also lets you turn off voice and text chat, either individually or for the entire team. You can even block players, which will prevent them from sending messages or voice chatting with you. For Battlefield Portal creators, the admin tools will allow you to ban any player from all current and future experiences they create.

Get ready to enter the Battlefields

Similar to its predecessors, Battlefield 2042 is a first-person shooter with a focus on multiplayer. As the game takes place in the near future, it features futuristic weapons and devices like deployable turrets and drones, as well as vehicles that players can drive. Players can now also have a vehicle air-dropped to any location on the map.

The game will have three main game modes: "All-Out Warfare" which encompasses "Breakthrough" and "Conquest", two known modes of the series. In Conquest, two teams fight each other to capture control points on the map; once all control points in a sector are captured, the team will control that sector. In Breakthrough, one team must try to capture another team's control points, while one team must defend them. Both modes can be played against other players or against the game's AI.

The PC versions, PlayStation 5 e Xbox Series X e Xbox series s support 128 players, while versions PlayStation 4 e Xbox One support only 64 players. The final game is scheduled to arrive on November 22nd. Enjoy and read more News on our website and leave it in the comments if you liked this new feature.
