Call of duty vanguard: The FPS world had a busy day this Wednesday (09/06). In addition to the official Battlefield 2042 announcement, rumors emerged on the internet that the revelation of Call of Duty 2021, called the Vanguard, will be made within the franchise's current Battle Royale, the Warzone.
According to the Video Games Chronicle website, which was one of the first sites to point out that Activision planned to release the free-to-play mode back in 2020, it pointed out that the game will portray World War II and will come along with a new Battle map Royale in November.
VGC would have suggested that we wouldn't have any Activision announcement at E3 2021, apart from the Black Ops Cold War Season 4 announcement, which will take place this week, as the company's plans were to take advantage of Warzone's success to promote its game from year, just as it was done in 2020, when through an in-game event, players had contact with the first trailer for the game that came out in November of that year.
Call of Duty Vanguard is being developed by Sledgehammer Games, which created Call of Duty: World At War II (2014), Advanced Warfare (2017) and also participated in the most recent games in the franchise. It would have had the time considered ideal for it to be able to launch the game in good condition for consoles and PCs of the old and new generations.
Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone Integration
Rumor has it, the presentation of Call of Duty Vanguard would be synchronized with the release of “the biggest Battle Royale map” so far, with a size significantly larger than the current Verdansk. Sledgehammer Games would be working with Raven Software to bring the old war theme into free-to-play mode.
Still on VGC, Call of Duty Vanguard would have the same graphics engine used by Modern Warfare 2019 and Warzone, but optimized bringing new features to the game. This way, it would make everything simpler when taking the content from one game to another, different from what happens today with Battle Royale and Black Ops Cold War, because with different engines, the integration of the games had a very troubled beginning due to this difference , something that has been corrected over time.
It is also worth remembering that Warzone recently received along with Season 3 of Black Ops Cold War a new version of the traditional map of Verdansk, but this time adapted to the year 1984, period in which the history of the current CoD occurs. However, the community was not so satisfied with the current map due to the few changes that were made. This time Activision decided to bet on a new map arriving at the same time as a new game, making a map by CoD released.
According to the current plan, pointing out by the website, the launch of both the new area and the new game will take place at the end of November, as happened last year with CoD 2020.
So far we haven't had any pronouncement from Activision regarding the rumors, but according to leakers who follow the development of CoDs every year point to the information from VGC with certainty.
