We are already in week 4 of Fortnite and we have a new set of challenges, along with a new challenge from Wolverine. One of week 4's challenges requires players to deal damage with a collector's remains. Most players will probably not know what the collectors are in Fortnite because they haven't yet found a devourer.
Here is everything you need to know in order to complete the damage done with the remains of a collector, which is a team challenge, making the challenge a little easier to complete.
Completing challenges gives players 25.000 XP, while larger and more difficult group-based challenges are worth 50.000 XP.
What are Collectors?
The collector's remains are a weapon that players can pick up when you destroy a collector. Collectors are a new type of flying enemy robot that is hostile to all players in the game. They are generated only by a Gorger, another floating enemy robot.
Gorgers will appear randomly anywhere on the map. Gorger will spawn Collectors until it is destroyed, making the destruction of Collectors a simple task.
Some collectors you destroy will disappear, but others will fall to the ground. If you run up to them, you will see the possibility to interact with them and pick them up as a weapon with unlimited ammo.
The best way to complete this challenge is to pick up the remains of the collector and load the weapon with each shot, as you will do a lot more damage. In addition, you need to remember that this is a team challenge, so you don't have to deal all 10.000 damage with the remains of a collector alone.
You will need to destroy 20 collectors to complete the week 4 challenge. Therefore, we recommend that you wait for Gorger to release 20 collectors and focus on destroying them all.
Collectors have even less hit points than Gorger, so simply aim and shoot them to knock them to the ground.
As soon as you eliminate a Collector, it will remain on the ground for a few seconds. Quickly run to it and grab it by pressing X on Xbox One, Square on PS4, Y on Switch and E on PC.
You can now use your laser gun to do damage. The best way to complete this challenge is not to touch the Gorger you found until after you destroyed 20 Collectors. Then, use the laser gun on Gorger.
Fortnite Collector Locations
There are two types of these robots that you will encounter this season. The first is a large one called Collector shown in the image above. They appear somewhere on the map and can be found by finding a large red ray that is fired directly upwards. Head towards the lightning to find a Collector in Fortnite.
According to several players, this is where you can find Collectors in Fortnite, but they don't always appear here:
The best way to find them is to make sure you are on a high spot, whether on a helicopter or on a big hill, when the Gorger falls. If you don't see it after five minutes or more, chances are you missed it and will have to try again in the next match.
Have you completed all of the week 4 challenges? Were you able to destroy the 20 collectors and cause 10.000 laser damage?
