Jessie and james from the rocket team started appearing in pokemon go

Team Rocket balloons began to appear on Pokemon Go, offering a new way to fight the group of villains, and the team's most infamous pair joined the fight. Jessie and James, Ash's recurring antagonists from the Pokemon animated series, arrived at Pokemon Go, giving you the chance to challenge them.

With the same appearance we are used to seeing, Jessie and James can be found flying a giant hot air balloon in the shape of Meowth. The pair will appear randomly in the game and only for a limited time, so there's no way of knowing when you'll find them. If you find their distinctive balloon, just tap it to start a battle with them.

Coinciding with its debut, new avatar items inspired by Jessie and James have been added to the game store on Pokemon Go; allowing you to dress your trainer in your exclusive Team Rocket uniforms. The second weekly set of challenges for Pokemon Go Fest has also been released; and he focuses on fighting Team Rocket, making Jessie and Jame's appearance quite important.

Jessie and James in other games

At first Pokemon Go is not the only game that Jessie and James broke into; so the duo is also appearing at the Pokemon Masters as part of a special Double Trouble event. At the moment, you can recruit Jessie and Arbok as a synchronization pair. James is not yet available in the game, although it is strongly implied that he will also debut soon, presumably alongside his Weezing. You can read more about the Double Trouble event on the Pokemon Masters website.

Despite being some of the most well-known characters in the series, Jessie and James rarely appear in real Pokémon games, making this a special occasion. Before arriving in Go and Pokemon Masters, the duo appeared only in Pokemon Yellow and in 2018 for Switch, Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu and Let's Go, Eevee.

Pokémon GO events

Niantic has many other events lined up for Pokemon Go this month, including Pokemon Go Fest 2020, which takes place on the 25th and 26th of July. In addition, the studio will hold the July Community Day, which features Gastly. As well as the Legendary Kyurem is also available in Invasions now, and there is a new batch of Field Research tasks to complete this month.
