First, Team Cherry, released a note on the development of the game Silksong, a direct sequel to the indie (
AND GAME OF MY LIFE) Hollow Knight with some information about the game.
Regarding the launch, they were categorical about the launch being made only "when it is completely ready" which only reinforces that in addition to not having a launch date, it can take time to arrive.
The developers also detailed some of the new protagonist's skills and resources for navigating the scenarios.
The map system will be practically identical to the first title and you need to find pieces of the map, compasses and other navigation items, but they appear to have news.
There will also be a new area called Greymoor that will be one of the biggest places ever created by Team Cherry
Hornte will have a healing feature (similar to the first title) called “Silk”. With the full Silk bar it will be possible to recover health and increase the protagonist's speed by consuming part of the resource tank until it is empty.
Finally, when Hornet dies at some point in the game, instead of a shadow appearing in the place as it did in Hollow Knight, here will be a cocoon filled with silk.
You can check the full post from the developers here.
Anyway, Hollow Knight: Silksong has no release date yet, but will have versions for Nintendo Switch and PC.
