KPI Gaming won the first Weekly Final and qualified for the Grand Final of the PUBG Global Championship (PGC) of 2021, played in Incheon, South Korea, with the participation of 32 teams. With this historic achievement, the Argentine team, the only representative of Latin America in the tournament, won the prize of US$ 30.
Made up of Argentine players, KPI was ranked 18th in Rank Decision, a phase that opened the PGC 2021 and defined the order of entry in the first Weekly Survival, in which the Latin American team got the victory in the 14th fall.
According to the format of the PGC 2021, the winners of each of the 16 Weekly Survival outages qualify for the Weekly Final and stop playing subsequent matches after their victory, giving way to the next team in the access ranking.
In the Weekly Final, there were ten falls, on the Eragel and Miramar maps, carried out on Saturday (27) and Sunday (28). In this phase, the scoring system adopted is the SUPER Points Rule, rulebook of the PUBG, where the finishing positions in each match and the number of opponents outages count towards an overall leaderboard.
Leader, the KPI totaled 108 points, 68 of which for slaughter. The Latin American team scored in all ten matches, with one victory, two 3rd places and three 4th places as their best results.

With 1st place in the Weekly Final, KPI won US$30 and has already qualified for the Grand Final, which will take place on December 17th, 18th and 19th. The team will still dispute the next two weeks of Weekly Survival, being able to reach the Weekly Final, but it already has its place guaranteed in the decisive phase of the competition.
The South Korean GHIBLI Esports was in 2nd place in the final classification of the Weekly Final, with 101 points conquered, just 7 behind the KPI. The North American Oath got the 3rd place, with 78 points.
In addition to KPI and Oath, the Americas are represented in the PGC 2021 by the TSM FTX, Spacestation Gaming, Soniqs and Dignitas teams. KPI features Argentinean Facundo “Capitan” Solsona, Ignacio “Dr4FTk1NG” Falzone, Emiliano “Em1hh Fidalgo and Nahuel “SzylzEN” Balseiro. The Brazilian Andrei “ps1co” Carvalho is a reserve.
O PGC 2021 it has Weekly Survival matches on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, Weekly Final matches on Saturdays and Sundays, and Bottom 16 Rank Decision on Mondays. The Grand Survival is scheduled for December 16th and the Grand Final for December 17th, 18th and 19th. The prize is US$ 2 million, in addition to 30% of the amount raised through the Bolão Challenge.
