New update of Sea of Thieves has flamethrowers

Sea of Thieves is getting a very hot update today, as the Ashen Winds update is now available. Ashen Lords can now appear on islands, throwing flaming stones and pirates around in the darkness. There are a few reasons why you can put them back on the ground, but the most important is that you can turn their skulls into flamethrowers.

The Ashen Lords are emerging enemies that will appear randomly on the islands. These undead captains have a few tricks in their rotten sleeves, boasting a variety of special abilities, as well as a supreme ability that evokes a meteor storm.

When you defeat an Ashen Lord, everyone involved will be able to obtain your treasure, in addition to the skull of Ashen Winds. Like ordinary skulls, you can hand them over to the Order of Souls, but they are much more useful as tools of destruction. These skulls spit fire and both ships and players are extremely flammable. Unfortunately, their infernal power is limited, but you can still deliver them to the Order of Souls, for a reduced reward, once spent.

It will also be possible for you to win new titles, candles and tattoos from Ashen Winds and there will be Ashen Winds events to keep you even more busy.

The Black Market has also been updated, so you can spend your gold and doubloons on the new Fearless Bone Crusher and Nightshine Parrot. If you are willing to participate with real money, you can buy pets contaminated by the Ashen Curse.
