The first trailer for Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, a reboot of the series of films starring Milla Jovovitch (Monster Hunter) and directed by her husband, Paul WS Anderson, which will hit theaters on November 24, has now been aired. your first full trailer. Finally the Sony Pictures gave a taste of what's to come with the first glimpse of this new movie that tries to move away from the rampant action that the previous series has embarked on and return to the survival horror vibe of the original games.
Writer and director Johannes Roberts (Deep Fear) indicated earlier this year that he was taking things back to the franchise's horror roots, and the trailer offers some positive signs that he's achieved his goal, starting with the scene that faithfully recreates the first view of a zombie from the 1996 game.

The film is based on the first two games in the classic series and is a complete reboot after the six Paul WS Anderson films. In case there's any doubt about it, Roberts begins the trailer's opening narration and puts a “rock” on it firmly with the line: “Every story has a beginning. Discover the origin of evil”. It is not yet known who says this, but possibly it is the character of Claire Redfield.
Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is set in 1998, and we see the creepy mansion from the first game, as well as a bit of the city where the sequel takes place. The trailer hits several points and includes some memorable insights from the games.
There's a nod to the opening scene of Resident Evil 2, in which an infected truck driver crashes his tanker in Raccoon City. Despite some dodgy CGI imagery, there's some well-done creature designs too, including zombie dogs and even a licker. Add some scares to this the trailer and it's a promising first glimpse of things to come.
