The Culling: Origins will be on the Xbox Store for $ 5,99 and comes with a free 1-day trial before payment. Anyone who has previously purchased The Culling Origins or downloaded the game while he was free to play will be able to play without additional purchase.

"The Culling is one of the pioneers of the Battle Royale genre and still stands out as a unique close-up combat experience today," said Josh Van Veld, director of operations at Xaviant. "We receive messages every day from players who want The Culling to return and, in the past few months, we have been working to make that happen."
“Our new approach focuses on sustainability - we've optimized our systems to keep server costs low and changed our monetization approach to ensure that players can visit the island for years to come. Initially, we are focusing on Xbox One with this effort, "concluded Van Veld," but we are working to bring the PC version back in the future ".

The Culling: Origins will have its remaster with these updates

  • Players can play a free game online every day. Players can play additional games using the following means:
  • Winning an online match grants an online match token
  • Online correspondence token packs can be purchased (3 tokens = $ 0,99, 10 tokens = $ 2,99, 20 tokens = $ 4,99)
  • Online passes offering unlimited online games can be purchased for 7 days ($ 1,99) or 30 days ($ 5,99)
  • The graphics quality of the Xbox One has improved dramatically, rendering a 30% higher resolution with the addition of anti-aliasing and an improved frame rate
  • AI: the behavior has been revised to provide a much more attractive and challenging offline experience
  • The player's resistance system has been adjusted - reducing the time required for the resistance to completely regenerate
  • The game no longer includes premium items or boxed charges. Players can level up, earn boxes and unlock airdrops through offline play.
  • Therefore, to keep the game alive indefinitely, a lot of effort was spent on optimizing the back-end systems to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • A side effect of this effort is that previous saved games will be deleted and all previous unlockings have been reset.
