Firstly, Platinum Games' Kickstarter project for the remake of The Wonderful 101, originally released for Wii U, ended more than 40 times as expected from its initial goal.
The campaign, however, ended with a total of $ 2.2222.546 donated from 33,199 supporters, who donated nearly $ 200 in the last 24 hours of the campaign alone.

Although Kickstarter did not reach the goal of $ 2,25 million at the last minute, it would include two new orchestral recordings added to the game; Conversations on the project's live broadcast suggested that non-Kickstarter donations would still put pressure on that goal.
After reaching its initial funding goal in just 30 minutes, Kickstarter added extensive goals; Like the Switch, Steam and PS4 releases, two extra missions and a remixed soundtrack.
Although Kickstarter was a definite financial success, producer Atushi Inaba said earlier that the campaign was more about measuring fan interest than actual funding - it now appears that there are many of both.
The Wonderful 101 remaster will be published by Platinum Games and, thanks to its sponsors, will be available on Switch, PC and PS4. The game will be released on May 19 in North America, May 22 in Europe and June 11 in Japan.
