Asus ROG: New 43-inch monitor has HDMI 2.1

Asus announced the world's first HDMI 2.1 certified monitor. The model is a 43-inch Asus ROG, which passed all tests regarding compatibility and validation that were performed by Allion Labs, Inc; which is an international company specializing in product testing).

This beautiful new monitor from ROG, which contains HDMI 2.1 technology, will be compatible with all next generation consoles. It also offers a total bandwidth of up to 48Gbps, which supports UHD 4K features (3840 × 2160) with very variable refresh rates, which can reach up to 120 Hz. The monitor also promises automatic low latency, which will allow the game console control the processing mode of the screen. The monitor will prioritize low latency or processing quality, all depending on the content being displayed.

Technical requirements for Asus ROG with HDMI 2.1

Asus ROG also mentions that Allion Labs subjected the monitor to rigorous fixed rate link (FRL) testing. This includes FRL Eletrical tests, FRL pixel decoding and FRL protocol. These are the ones necessary for a complete guarantee of compatibility with HDMI 2.1 devices.

However, Asus also said that this monitor with HDMI 2.1 will not be the only one in the line. The monitors of the Asus ROG should have some options of 27 inches and 32 inches, in addition to the 43 inch model. The brand says they will be available before the holiday season.

The sale price of the product has not yet been informed, as well as the exact date; however, it is expected that it will have its official launch near the date of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox One X consoles and that the company will decide to show the complete line ready.
