It took a long time, the character underwent some changes and finally arrived with version 2.0 of the game.
In addition to it and the Inazuma region, the game also brought new challenges and bosses for players to face in search of character-raising items, artifacts and rewards. And if you want to make your Ayaka strong, you'll need to collect lots of Engine Hearts, and to get that, you'll need to defeat new mechanical boss in Genshin Impact: Perpetual Mechanical Formation.
Perpetua Mechanical Training: The mechanical boss in Genshin Impact
A strange and alien machine. They say it is a war machine left behind by a nation that has already been destroyed. Composed of several different parts, it can adapt to its combat environment and employ a variety of attacks. This machine, made up of cubic shapes, is to some degree very similar to the elementary hypostasis. – Game description from the Adventurer's Manual
The Perpetua Mechanical Formation is a kind of mechanical hypostasis. Similar to many constructs in the game, such as the Ruin Guards or Ruin Hunters, the mechanical monster has no elements, but it has a lot of defense and hits quite hard. It can be found under Jinren Island in the Inazuma region.
To combat it, players can access it through a portal found on Jinren Island. Alternatively, a waypoint can be unlocked next to it after completing the Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual quests.
When defeated, the player must consume 40 Original Resin to claim their items, which consists of Artifacts and Character Ascension Material for multiple Characters, such as Prithiva Topaz Fragments (used on Geo element characters) and Jade Shivada Fragments (used on Cryo element characters) in addition to the Heart of the Mechanism. It takes 3 minutes for the Perpetua Mechanical Formation to reappear after being defeated.
Skills and Attacks
Rocket – The Perpetua Mechanical Formation transforms into a rocket and marks the player's position before falling with a red circle, indicating the radius of the attack's range. Keep moving and use a dash to exit the attack area.
laserr Orbital – Charges a laser and marks the player's current position with a red circle that focuses before attacking with an explosion. Just stay in constant motion to escape damage.
roller cube – The Perpetual Mechanical Formation only uses this move when the player is attacking from long distances. The boss turns into a cube and rolls repeatedly at high speed towards the player.
sword cut – The Perpetual Mechanical Formation only uses this move in melee ranged attacks. It transforms into a giant sword and cuts from right to left. Just move in the opposite direction of the blow or get closer to the cable, using the dash to keep close to the enemy.
Swivel Blade – The Perpetual Mechanical Formation only uses this move at melee ranges. It transforms into a giant spinning blade and makes a zigzag pattern before slicing left to right. Keep moving and use the dash to escape.
energy cannon – The Perpetual Mechanical Formation charges for a short period of time before firing a beam of pure energy that deals moderate and rapid physical damage to those who touch the beam. The beam follows the player. To escape keep close to the boss. The farther away, the harder to dodge.
defensive mode – The boss assumes a defensive posture and throws four cubes that transform into Sentinels of Ruin. In this mode he is invulnerable and to take out defense mode you must destroy the Sentinel which is marked by a yellow marking. By defeating this sentry, the Perpetual Mechanical Formation is completely vulnerable to all types of damage.
This boss uses a wide variety of attacks, many of which are pretty easy to dodge. For most blows, just stay close and move, using the dash. In this case, the boss becomes pretty easy, but it has a high physical defense, so with some characters that do good elemental reactions to deal more damage.
As the fight progresses, the boss will eventually assume Defense Mode, summoning four Doom Sentinels – one each from Scout, Defender, Attacker, and Ranger. One of these four sentries will be highlighted with runes and the game will inform you that this unit will need to be disabled to end Boss Defensive Mode. The boss does not attack in this state.
A mechanical monster that looks like a jellyfish and floats across the field. The easiest of the Doom Sentinels, as their main job is to create traps and blocks to stop their targets. He can only make close range attacks, which means that any bow user can attack them from a distance. However, when two or more Ruin Scouts are together, they go from being an easy enemy to a mild annoyance.
Since the two Scouts will now always form a connection with your attacks, one of them can headbutt you and the other can charge your laser attack. It should be noted that you should not stand on top of tall buildings when fighting them, as they will simply lose focus from you and return to your starting point and regain your energy.
Defender of Ruins
The Defender resembles a crustacean-like automaton. By far one of the most annoying, as its main ability is to block the player and push him back. Although her shield looks difficult, it actually only protects anything that comes in front of her, meaning that any attack that deals damage in area or from behind will still deal damage. The best way to deal with him while he has his shield up is to attack him from any other direction except from the front.
It resembles a snake planted in the ground. Her main attack will cause her to become stuck to the ground and the core will accumulate energy, creating a vacuum that sucks the player. After charging, it will overload its core, blasting anything to medium-area damage around it, dealing heavy physical damage. The core is exposed during this attack.
He will use his three orbs on his head for attacks with a laser beam that deals physical damage. In a moment, the orbs will land on the ground dealing physical damage and explode. To cancel this attack, it is necessary to destroy the Patrolman. At that point, your weak point is exposed. When the main head's weak spot is hit twice while exposed, the Ruin Cruiser is deactivated for a short period of time where it doesn't attack back.
Ruin Sentinels share the same level as the boss, but only the rune sentinel can take damage at this time; the rest do not suffer any damage, although elementary reactions can be applied. Once the detached unit is disabled, the boss exits Defensive Mode and he, along with the sentries, is disabled for about 20 seconds. At this point, he will be vulnerable to all types of damage. This is where you should take the opportunity to unload all your elemental abilities and powers.
The boss will eventually recover the units once he recovers. The attack pattern is reset and remains so until the boss is defeated. He doesn't have any kind of energy-regenerating mechanics, so just worry about staying alive and quickly deactivating his defense mode.
