Guitar Hero is a popular series of music genre video games, published by RedOctane in partnership with Activision and initially developed by the company Harmonix Music Systems until 2007, passing the continuation of the series to the famous company Neversoft. His first game, “Guitar Hero” released on November 8, 2005, debuted the series in the world of electronic games, thus starting the successful trajectory.
The series is famous for using a special control in the form of an electric guitar that simulates the performance of a rock musician. The player presses buttons on the controllers according to “colored notes” that appear on the screen, simulating the player's concert in a rock band.
In the game, there is the individual mode, where the player participates in a career based on the history of his band, as well as the cooperative mode, where two players play together, one guitarist and the other bassist in the band (alternating, depending on the song, to one on base guitar and one on lead guitar), and the competitive mode where two players perform a “guitar duel” with one player winning.
The series was used in its repertoire, several songs from independent and established rock bands, from the 60's to the present day, passing through several sub-genres of the musical style. In total, seven games in the series were released for various consoles, with the release of new games in the series having been announced, thus confirming the continuation.
The Guitar Hero franchise has become a cultural phenomenon, and games have become extremely popular as worldwide grossing over 14 million units sold and over $1 billion in revenue.
In April 2015, after four years without releasing a new game, Activision announces the seventh game in the franchise: Guitar Hero Live. This game will be a reboot of the series and will have a new controller with six buttons, as well as a new style of gameplay.

Friday Night Funkin' – Windows and Linux
Friday Night Funkin ' is a free and open source rhythm game. Developed by a team of four Newgrounds users, the game has a play style similar to Dance Dance Revolution and PaRappa the Rapper, and with an aesthetic reminiscent of popular Flash games from the early to mid 2000s.
The game revolves around the player character, simply called “Boyfriend”, who has to defeat a number of characters in singing and rap competitions in order to date his love interest, “Girlfriend” ( “Girlfriend” in English).
Friday Night Funkin' is a rhythm game in which the player must go through several levels, called “week” weeks in English, each containing several songs. Each week, the player faces a different opponent.
During the game in “story mode”, the opponent will sing a pattern of notes, which the player must then mirror using the arrow keys or the W, A, S and D keys. Later songs feature more complicated patterns, with the player pattern sometimes varying from the opponent or both singers engaging in a duet.
At the bottom of the screen there is a bar that indicates the player's performance. The left side of the bar is red, representing the opponent. The right side is green, representing the player. Hitting notes successfully will increase the size of the player's bar, while missing notes or pressing when there are no notes will cause the opponent's bar to expand. The player fails if the opponent's slash fills the entire slash. The player wins if his bar survives through the entire song.
For each week, the player has the option to select one of three difficulties: Easy, Medium and Hard. As the difficulty increases, arrow speed increases and arrow patterns become more complicated. The player's highest score for each week on each difficulty is tracked and displayed in the top corner of the week selection screen.
The player can also play in “free play” mode, where the “week” structure and any cutscenes are ignored and the player can play any individual song on their own.

At each level, there is a black horizontal line at the bottom of the screen as notes fall from the top of the screen into the notes line. The note line can move horizontally depending on the song and difficulty chosen. The player must tap, hold, slide or slide the note depending on which note it is.
Touch notes must be played when they reach the horizontal line to make them disappear. Hold notes are long notes that must be kept until the end of the note. Slide notes must be passed in a specific direction to make them disappear, while slide notes require the player to hold their finger on the horizontal line and slide it to where the next white note will fall so that the note can disappear.
A score is given based on how accurate each note is achieved. The accuracy of each grade is evaluated by 'Max Perfect', 'Perfect', 'OK' or 'Miss'. The total score will also show a letter rating: an S rating of 950.000 points or when the player is awarded a title, an A rating of 880.000 points, a B rating of 780.000 points, and a C rating for any lower score.
There is a combo counter that keeps count of how many notes were hit without losing. Hitting all grades can reward the player with a title of 'Complete Match', and there is an additional reward for hitting each grade to 'Perfect' or 'Maximum Perfect' accuracy, rewarding the player with a title of 'Everything Perfect'.
Each song has three difficulty levels – Easy, Hard and Special. A song's difficulty is also given a numerical rating, the higher the rating, the harder the song. The player can also decide how quickly the musical notes will drop.

The game includes a Session Mode, which allows players to jam sessions with the game's musicians. Other new modes include an enhanced Master Mode to aid memory and new “Guitarcade” mini-games. New missions have been added as a way to challenge and direct players to areas they need to improve.
Rocksmith 2014 is intended to be more of a teaching tool than the original game, with over 85 lessons covering curves, accents, slides, etc. A new finger positioning tool has also been added. The game also features a mode for colorblind players.
