At first, Brasil Game Show (BGS) is just a few days away, the 12th edition of the largest game fair in Latin America that takes place from October 9th to 13th at Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo / SP
With news from the big names in the world industry and national game producers, eSports championships with a total prize pool of R $ 280 thousand, international guests, as well as a retro games area and many, many stations to play at will and honor the motto of fair: Here we play!
Xbox, Warner and Epic Games at BGS!
Among the main brands hitherto confirmed for the 12th BGS are Xbox and Warner, whose line-ups will be revealed soon, and Epic Games, which debuts at the event with a 1.000 m² booth full of gaming stations for the public to enjoy with Fortnite, a survival game that has more than 250 million users worldwide.
"In addition to machines to play Fortnite, thousands of other gaming stations will be available to the public," according to Marcelo Tavares, creator and CEO of BGS.
Youtube will also be present!
One of the largest streaming platforms in the world will also participate in the event: YouTube will have a space that is double that of last year - 1.000 m² -

PCs, accessories and peripherals such as mice, keyboards, headsets and gamers chairs, are the main attraction of the PC Gaming area, which this year will have almost 2 thousand m² with options for hardcore, occasional players, passionate about competitive games, pro-players or so enthusiastic.
Independent studios also participate in BGS 2019, as well as companies linked to the competitive scenario and collectible items, schools and colleges that offer courses and qualifications for those who wish to work professionally in the segment. Passionate about games since he was 7, Marcelo Tavares, founder of BGS, knows that one of the biggest dreams of any fan is to be face to face with directors, producers and actors of their favorite titles. That is why, in each edition, BGS brings worldwide personalities to interact with visitors at the opening ceremony, in meet sessions and free greets, on the stage of BGS Talks, where they reveal curiosities of their trajectories, in the cosplay contests in which they are jurors, and be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Awards or the Wall of Fame.

Championships with a prize of R $ 280 thousand
Previously known as Brasil Game Cup, BGS Esports will have an arena with state-of-the-art infrastructure, with a stage and a grandstand for 2 thousand people, where the men's and women's championships of Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) will be held on 10 and 11 October, with a total prize pool of R $ 100 thousand, the Pro Kompetion of Mortal Kombat 11, with an approximate prize of R $ 60 thousand (12/10) and the international CROSSFIRE tournament (13/10), in which the winner will take R $ 120 thousand. Tournaments will feature narration, commentary and live broadcasts, so that you stay on top of everything.
BGS Pinball and Arcade Matic provide an unprecedented space dedicated to nostalgia
The 12th edition of Brasil Game Show will have, for the first time, the BGS Pinball and Arcade Matic, an area of 1,5 thousand m² dedicated to classic games, many from past decades. There will be more than 150 arcade and pinball machines available to the public, including the Stern Stars Wars Pin and Jurassic Park, which can be tested first hand by visitors to the fair.
Brazilian games on Avenida Indie will be highlighted
For the first time, Brasil Game Show will promote a contest to elect by popular vote the three best games on Avenida Indie, a traditional BGS space that brings together independent studios and aims to stimulate the development of games in the country. In partnership with Banco do Brasil, the contest will award the top three winners with letters of credit from BB Consórcios, in the amounts of R $ 5, R $ 3 and R $ 2, respectively. The list of all participants will be available on the Brazil Game Show, where the public can vote from 13 pm on the first day of the event, to 18 pm on the last day of the event.
GameJam at BGS Jam with a prize of R $ 6 and an internship
In order to encourage the national game market, Brasil Game Show promotes the BGS Jam, a development marathon disputed by 30 university students, divided into 10 teams. Participants will be confined and will have 48 hours, from 15 pm on October 9, to create a new game, whose theme will be revealed only at the beginning of the competition. During this time, they will sleep and eat on the spot and will only be allowed to go to the bathroom. BGS visitors will be able to follow the dispute live and, in the end, choose their favorite game. As well as submitted to popular vote, the games will be screened by a panel of specialists. A novelty of BGS Jam 2019 is the award: a prepaid card with R $ 6 thousand, provided by Banco do Brasil, as well as a one-month internship at the Skullfish game studio.
Visitors from all corners of the country
Brasil Game Show receives visitors from all over the country. Therefore, in 2019, 225 caravans from 26 states and the Federal District are already confirmed.
