Welcome to Paradise – The Warzone Pacific will be released with Season One of Vanguard
“They were simpler times. But the work never ends.” — Captain Butcher, Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific
Deep beneath the center of Verdansk, the most powerful CIA task force discovers a WWII German bunker on August 24, 1984, after dealing with Stitch.
Following the sounds of a potential intruder inside the tunnel system, they find a bunker with information from a bygone era, along with the familiar voice of Captain Butcher mocking the task force for its lack of stealth.
In charge of the secret British Executive Department of Special Operations (SOE) during World War II, Butcher created several Special Operations Task Forces (SOTF) — including the original group, the Vanguard (Task Force 001) — to ensure elimination total Axis forces that escaped after the war. Adler, Woods, Mason and Hudson stop to hear this story, which echoes their mission to eradicate Perseus once and for all…
And they find out that it all started in the Pacific.

On December 8th, his legendary journey in the Warzone Pacific begins with the arrival of Season One of Call of Duty: Vanguard e Warzone Pacific.
With a new map built based on the lessons learned from the community, the Warzone Pacific marks a new era of full-scale, pulsating tactical combat. With a Game List dedicated to you with new vehicles and weapons from Vanguard, Season One of Warzone Pacific starts another year of free content, all based and its own epic to end the last resistance of the Axis.
Call of Duty introduces Caldera. Where will it fall?
On December 8th, who owns the Vanguard receive 24 hours exclusive access to play Caldera, the newest map Warzone Pacific. Warzone players will be able to enter Rebirth Island during this period. Then, on December 9th, Caldera and Rebirth Island will be accessible to all players.
Caldera encompasses 15 huge distinct areas for exploration and combat once Operation Volcano begins. There are also hundreds of smaller points of interest to investigate and use to your tactical advantage.
Get ready to explore Caldera with our topographic view as we spot this dormant volcano from north to south:
Naval Arsenal (Naval Arsenal)
Comprised of an extensive shipyard and forward base, the northwestern Caldera area offers a mix of indoor and outdoor combat opportunities, as well as unusual tactical positions such as the deep dry dock basins. Farther inland is a cluster of large buildings — a command center, the administrative structure, the barracks complex, training ground and shooting range — with beaches and a small set of radars found east of the main Arsenal.
Industrial Docks (Industrial Docks)
Once managed by the Ocean Freight Company, this large-scale industrial dock complex features the rusting superstructures of five massive cranes, a massive ship hangar, long-abandoned company headquarters, and an entire shipyard (word emphasis shipyard). The area also unites several nearby points of interest: fuel tanks, phosphate containers and mine (Mines) and peak (Peak) refineries, a military base with Quonset barracks near Arsenal, and an entire fishing village with bamboo homes close to the untouched jungles of the runway (Runway).
While the main aerodrome and runway at the Caldera Terminal to the southwest receive the majority of aircraft take-offs and landings, there is a secondary runway in the northeast corner of Caldera for the stationers in the beachfront or arsenal-dock complex. With half the area hidden in the jungle, you'll pass a single cabin and ruined farmhouses, and climb rugged rocks to reach this coastal headland, complete with a dirt track. Deep in the jungle is a military command center with its own share of secrets.
Situated north of the river village and west of the extensive mine work, this pristine archaeological site contains the remains of structures, apparently created in a megalithic style around or before the XNUMXth century, built with balustrade joints that mimic volcanic geological columns natural. Find them near a fast-flowing creek and venture east through a jungle ravine to discover greater ruins deep in the hillside forests. Other surprises include a series of layered pools and verdant hot springs.
A massive mining operation for the purpose of excavating, refining and transporting phosphate gives way to winding surroundings, gigantic grinding machines, mine gondolas that stretch from the main canyon to docks, smaller factories, a railway line and steep embankments. And all of this offers a mix of engagement types. Operators can also investigate a large factory complex, look for older mine work and stumble across a [[CONFIDENTIAL]] with their own [[CONFIDENTIAL]] or explore the outer confines containing secondary works, drainage pools, belt structures conveyors, dump bins, containment pools and even a remote gas station and grocery store.
This is the high ground. Dominating the center of the map is the colossal peak of a dormant volcano, which gives the entire island its name. The height advantage you get from landing at the top of the Caldera Gorge and installing the Axis military battery there under construction is counterbalanced by the exposed nature of the environment. The rocky outcrops can provide respite if the area sees a "rough landing", also find shelter in the main gondola station that runs from Peak to Runway, or in the magma chamber and what was built while he slept…
Cut into dunes on the island's northwest coast, an extensive trenched defense network sits beneath the communications hub, radar, barracks, and full-scale military complex — all built in anticipation of a seaside invasion. Further south are battery stumps juxtaposed with a village of bamboo houses perched on either side of a river canyon, with many main roads, dirt roads, trails, goat paths, and jungle overgrowth to traverse on. all directions.
Despite the remains of a cargo ship and recent gun emplacements tactically placed at the foothills west of the peak (Peak), the small village's bamboo huts, walkways, paddy fields and rugged slopes remain untouched and ready to be explored. Further south and east is the main asphalt road that circumnavigates the entire island of Caldera. Each side is barren, interspersed with light industrial composites, more modern 1930s structures, and hillside suburban dwellings with anti-aircraft features there to handle traffic from the adjacent airfield (Airfield).
Clear Water Lagoon
An ancient lighthouse proudly oversees a shallow bay that holds bamboo huts that have lasted for generations alongside a picturesque coastal community with more recently built homes. Cross the lagoon to unlock its secrets, including what's left of Captain Butcher's plane…
Caldera Terminal (Caldera Terminal)
The island's primary airfield has no shortage of aircraft or buildings to explore, including small support structures for employees and a control tower with more than one entry point. Those wishing to protect themselves from the exposed runway and open entrances to each of its hangars might want to head to a section of buildings near the village, or to the southern coastal border, where allied military forces have set up their base of operations.
By far, the biggest main point of interest in Caldera is the fertile farmland south of the volcano. In addition to the numerous small farms, there are light industrial warehouses containing agricultural machinery and stock, an administrative center, a water tower, stables and other landmarks to check out when you're navigating the lush, undulating landscape on these sides. From countless remote farm buildings, silos and lakes to logging camps, a military outpost and communications tower, or rocky cliffs, there are plenty of combat opportunities and routes to all areas south of the Caldera.
Shark's Liar Submarine Pen
Cut into a natural cove along Caldera's east coast is the island's largest military installation: the sinister Sub Pen, nicknamed The Shark's Lair, The Shark's Lair. Built by the Axis forces to house their submarines, including one still moored there, the lair has enormous internal space to explore and secure. Outside, several outbuildings and a set of bunkers, complete with a complex system of underground tunnels, can be explored to find needed supplies or contracts.
Caldera Power Plant
A medium-sized power plant with a pair of chimneys dominates the upper floodplain to the south of the airfield, standing out from lush vegetation, stepped waterfalls and ancient ruins found elsewhere in the area. Venture further south from the plant to find a large radio antenna and a civilian radio station.
Caldera Capital City (Island Capital)
Situated in a massive natural basin along the island's south coast, Caldera's main town offers a variety of historic structures for you to take control of, including the royal theater, the main capitol building and art deco structures such as the Corps de Fire and Police Station located on both sides of a functioning tram system. Along the capital's western edge, a hillside suburb and lighthouse offer space and height compared to the bustling center on Main Street, while coastal developments to the south of the city offer a luxury yacht club and beachfront bar, where a squad may be prematurely celebrating their victory in the Battle Royale.
Royal Cabana Resort (Resort)
Pristine sandy beaches, quality surf, groups of hut huts and an imposing main hotel structure are offered to the wealthy traveler at the Royal Cabana Resort. Operators entering Caldera must see the deserted remains of this resort, with a main thoroughfare offering quick vehicle access. There is also a small square and clock tower, a bus station and the hotel's own entrance. The resort grounds are large and lush, with shallow pools, foliage and palm trees for thorough exploration.

Specifically, there are two main differences between a Vanguard Royale and the traditional Battle Royale:
– New Vehicles and Air Combat. Pilot fighter planes that rain fire on enemies below, or run for guns or Anti-Aircraft trucks to shoot them from out of the skies. There are also other ground vehicles, including an all terrain Squadron Transport that will help your team cross or bypass the island.
- Focus on the weapons of the Vanguard. Weapons can only contain equipment Vanguard, simplifying the goal for more accessibility and space for experimentation. Expect all weapons around the island to be also from Vanguard. Operator selection is also limited to combatants. Vanguard.
- Circle Collapse Changes, In-Game Events, and more. The Circle Collapse lightning and times have been altered to provide a different gameplay pace, especially with aerial brawls rolling overhead. Also, expect an in-game event every Circle Collapse, Imminent Bombardments, and different items in both the Caldera universe and contract rewards.
Although the players of the Vanguard have exclusive access to the Caldera map as early as December 8th, everyone can hop back to Rebirth Island to experience new Season One weaponry, its Operators and more.
Expect one-day Play Lists on Rebirth Island – both Resurgence and Mini Royale – to arrive early in the season before everything changes for Caldera on December 9th.
During the season, Featured Playlists will include returns to Rebirth Island for Resurgences and other game modes, and new limited-time modes will focus on Caldera such as Loot Vanguard, its own Resurgence mode Vanguard presented by Beenox, and other festive surprises…
With a new map to explore end-to-end, game lists to strive for victory, and fresh weaponry to use, expect additional initiatives and gameplay innovation from every studio working on the Warzone – especially Raven Software, Beenox, Toys for Bob and High Moon Studios – including some developed after listening to community feedback.
Part of the initial content wave planned for the period close to the December 8th release (for players of Vanguard) and December 9th (for all players) includes the following:
The Gulag – Come back ready for combat
The Gulag now gives you more than a second chance to win.
When the Warzone Pacific Once there, any player who defeats a Gulag will return with the weapon – or weapons – and lethal equipment gained during this deadly duel.
Those who survived the Iron Trials of 84, the way in which this feature was first tested, may know a professional strategy involving weapon conservation: any remaining ammo and equipment is transported between the Gulag and redeployment. Deal efficiently with the enemy and you'll have more at your disposal in Caldera.
Weaponry Items and Field Improvements
The Deadly Silence has been weakened. Projectiles with Stopping Power are gone.
In addition to detailing these specific changes, Raven Software has closely analyzed various pieces of equipment, such as nerfs for Concussion Grenades and Pulse Sensors. They also took another look at the dual-sized melee weapons – the Kali Wands and the Sai – to bring justice to all the ghosts who lived a very short second life during The Haunt. The results? Expect the equipment and weaponry mentioned above to be adjusted so that they are less powerful in the Warzone, along with gun firing no longer being the main method of attack in Caldera.
Another change involves the Weapons Box Markers – now they can only be purchased at Buy Stations after allow the Weapon Box event to happen in a match, effectively shifting its utility from an immediate power spike to a more tactical mid-game choice.
Along with these nerfs, several pieces of Lethal and Tactical Equipment will undergo much-needed adjustments. Most Lethal Gear will deal more damage, while the Detection Grenade will have its effective radius increased, the Stimulant will also have a slight movement boost, and the Distraction Grenade is filled with rubber bullets that deal enough damage to annoy your opponents. enemies.
Gas Masks and Canned Pumps
Gas Masks won't interrupt as many actions as they used to, making it easier to take off or put on your mask, as well as prepare or reload a weapon while exiting Circle Collapse – but always favoring the combat advantage for those safely inside of the circle.
Gas masks can have a modicum of protection against Gas Cans, an entirely new item developed by High Moon Studios. If these cans explode, they release the same harmful vapors as the components of Circle Collapse, albeit within a much smaller radius.
After catching one of them in Caldera, try blowing the fuse and throwing a Can, or leave this baby on a lift to send a “nice gift” to someone already working overtime on high ground. Alternatively, since it requires both hands to carry, simply send a bullet at someone carrying one, or drop one you are carrying, step out of the blast radius and fire at it, which can make it effective for a few moments in a changeover. active shots.
While operators won't get their mermaid tails in Caldera, they can now navigate the shallow waters seen in areas like Lagoon. Walking through the water makes it difficult to see steps, even for operators with the Tracker Advantage equipped. Squat down in knee-deep water and you gain the effects of Cold Blood, but you can't face down.
Speaking of science, fire equipment now generates smoke when it hits water, adding a new layer of tactics when traversing open shallow pools.
Public contracts and events
During a match, squads can find new contracts to complete, such as a Supply Delivery Agreement, which drops a valuable box onto the map for anyone to pick up, but only has its exact location revealed to the squad involved in the contract.
Another contract is a Large Hunt, which targets the Operator with the highest casualty count – but only once per game while another – known as Confidential Agreement – is, as you'd expect, [[CONFIDENTIAL]] until you get him, but comes with bigger rewards compared to the standard reward of the Contract types he chooses from.
As for Public Events, wait for the arrival of the Replenishments and Upwellings of Rebirth Island in Caldera, in addition to the event of delivery of money that you may have seen during Operation: Flashback. There are also rumors of Weapon Crates [[CONFIDENTIAL]] that may appear around the island, which contain the coveted [[CONFIDENTIAL]] Weapons Projects seen in Verdansk, and weaponry extracted from the meta galaxy brains of studio Gunsmiths gurus.
Remember to check out update notes and other detailed information closer to Season One with Raven Software, as well as Beenox for anything regarding PC-related changes.
