GOG Galaxy 2.0 is now available

GOG Galaxy 2.0 is now ready to exit beta, but in the meantime, a new update is available for download.

Fulfilling its goal of being a digital games platform, the GOG Galaxy now includes your game subscriptions.

Gog galaxy 2
All your games and friends in one place

Like Game Pass for PC and Uplay +, many people have games on various platforms and different subscription services, if you are trying to reconcile them all, you can now see them all in one place.

Download the update and you can browse and install these games just as you would a hundred other platforms.

Update 5 also allows you to link multiple executables to any game and you can customize them with your own startup parameters. This should be useful for modifying, cheating and playing different versions of a game, such as 64-bit or 32-bit variants.

Other new additions include the use of custom rating titles to organize your games, improvements to the user interface and better scrollability, and several fixes.

GOG has announced that the new client, which has been in open beta since the end of last year, will be launched soon, replacing the old GOG Galaxy, but there is still no date for that.

If you use GOG Galaxy 1.2, you will not see these changes, but anyone can upgrade to the beta. I recommend the GOG Galaxy 2.0, as it is much better than the old one and is largely trouble free.
