Do you think you've seen it all on Netflix? So get ready that the first Geeked Week has arrived! Check out the event's promotional video:
But what would this Geeked Week be, after all? This is a series of lives that will take place on the official social networks of Netflix starting on the 7th (Monday) and running until Friday, the 11th.
Geeked Week was created with the intention of celebrating, uniting and thanking the many geek fans for their commitment and positive responses in relation to the various productions on the platform. As is well known, a platform like Netflix cannot grow without public support, which is fundamental to the company's prosperity.
And it was with the fans in mind that the super event was born, which will be like a Comic-Con exclusively for Netflix productions. And the best part is that it will be completely online and free, meaning anyone with an internet connection can have access to everything, everything.
So, what's going to happen at Geeked Week? There will be news, “exclusive teaser premieres and trailers, previews, behind-the-scenes videos, cast interviews, celebrity competitions, script readings, live shows” and a few more surprises.
What is part of Geeked Week? There's something for all tastes, including comics, games, movies, xumbis, animations, science fiction, monsters, fantasy, ninjas, robots and more.
More than 50 production attractions are confirmed, including: The Sandman, Umbrella Academy, The Witcher, Gunpowder Milkshake, Cuphead – The Series, Arcane, Lucifer, Rua do Fear Trilogy, Castlevania, Masters of the Universe: Saving Eternia, La casa de role, Resident Evil, Cowboy Bebop, Cobra Kai, Godzilla Single Point, Sweet Tooth, among others. Did you feel the power?
The presentation of this super event is up to Rahul kohli (iZombie Ravi) and Mari Takahashi (known as Atomic Mari, youtuber and dancer). Some confirmed special guests are Trisha Hershberger, Erika Ishii, Geoff Keighley, Yuri Lowenthal and Kiera Please. Lots of fun and news await this super week!
And how will all this content be distributed at the event? According to Netflix, each day will have a different theme, but an exact schedule was not disclosed, so you'll need to keep an eye out to not miss the content of your favorite series.
To find out exactly what will happen at the event, just stay logged in to one of the Netflix accounts: Youtube, Twitter, Twitch, Facebook ou Tik Tok. Lives take place every day at 13 pm, with reruns at 22 pm, Brasília time.
The downside is that the event takes place in English, and as it happens live, there are no subtitles for Portuguese.
Game Summer Fest
Netflix Geeked Week will be part of the Summer Game Fest schedule, as announced by journalist Geoff Keighley on Twitter:
This fact already delivers at least part of the general programming that has been kept confidential, as the day announced by the journalist is the last of Geeked Week, on Friday (June 11th). As the Summer Game Fest is an event about games, it can be concluded that Friday will be the day of the programming dedicated to games, one can expect revelations about, for example, the second season of The Witcher, The Cuphead Show and even Resident Evil.
The Summer Game Fest will also be an online event starting on June 10th with a big live show and will continue throughout the month. It's like a competitor at the big E3, which will start on the 12th. In the tweet below, you can see some partner brands that will be present at the event:
As you can see, there are some big names that will make us stand up for the Summer Game Fest, like Blizzard, EA, PlayStatio, SEGA, Xbox, Square Enix, Riot, and many others.
