Released for the Nintendo Switch, the remakes Pokémon Diamond and Pearl will hit stores in November. See the covers
Announced through Nintendo of America's Twitter, the remakes Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, called Pokémon Shiny Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl, will hit stores later this year, more precisely in November. In addition to the announcement of the release date, the game covers were revealed, with the legendary Pokémon, Dialga and Palkia, the exclusive ones from the Sinnoh region.
In addition to the two games, Nintendo announced that there will be a bundle, with those of the games, for those who want to have both games. The launch is scheduled for November 19, but there is still no information about the price of the game.
Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Remakes arrive dividing fans
The first thing that the announcement of the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl remakes caused was a controversy that divided fans from pocket monsters. Unlike the last game in the series, Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, this game will bring "chibis" versions of the avatars that will be controlled by the players and not more slender and "normal" size characters.
Chibis are small versions, big heads and with huge eyes (bigger than those normally seen in games with anime style), which reflect the style adopted by the developers of the Game Freak studio in the first games. Some more nostalgic fans liked the change, but others wrinkled their noses at the title.
A fan of pocket monsters, who is probably in the group of those who did not like the novelty, reimagined the trailer trailer for the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl remakes with the character style similar to that adopted in Pokémon Sowrd and Pokémon Shield.
In addition to the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl remakes, Game Freak and Nintendo announced the launch of Pokémon Legends Arceus, where the player will explore an old version of the Sinnoh region, with a feudal Japan vibe, using “ninja” versions of the protagonists who will be responsible for creating the first version of Pokedex in the region.
Pokémon Legends Arceus is scheduled to be released on January 22, 2022.
Who is this phenomenon?
Pokémon is a cross-media game franchise from The Pokémon Company and was created by Satoshi Tajiri in 1995. It is centered on fictional creatures called “Pokémon” (short for “Pocket Monsters” or “Pocket Monsters”), which humans capture and train them to fight each other as a sport.
The franchise started with a couple of games released for the original Game Boy, developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo. Currently, the franchise extends to games, collectible cards, television series, as well as films, manga and toys, as well as several spin-offs and crossovers with other franchises.
In Brazil, the franchise's success is due to the launch of the anime that was shown on TV Record in the 90s and became an absolute classic, which extended to the cinema, with the launch of Pokémon - O Filme and forced competing channels to look for alternatives to fight Pikachu and his friends for the audience.
However, over time, the franchise ceased to be shown on open TV and ended up being forgotten by the general public for a long time, until the launch of Pokémon Go, which took the capture of monsters to mobile phones through augmented reality technology. Today, with more than 20 years of release, Pokémon is the second most successful and profitable gaming media franchise in the world, after the Mario franchise that also belongs to Nintendo.
